This below document ends the Supreme Court battle regarding Ruth Mitchell living on the Cottrill estate and her home of many years. She can stay and she cannot be harassed by Gilmer County law enforcement any longer. Ben Huffman pulled a gun on Ruth Mitchell and ordered her to leave once taking the law into his own hands. Huffman may someday face charges for those actions if we can convince federal law enforcement to act!

This article has received thousands and thousands of hits since it was originally published and has generated a lot of e-mail, and I have even had people contact me on my Facebook site about the corruption in their county in West Virginia and that Gilmer County may be the most corrupt county in all of West Virginia, but certainly not the only county that is corrupt.

Currently as of January 2014 we are working on the Willard Cottrill Murder and gathering documents about the land fraud that involves the Gilmer County Commission and the Willard Cottrill Estate that is now in its forth year without any HOPE of being settled.
No lawyer or fiduciary commissioner in his right mind will take the case because everybody knows that Willard was murdered and the matter has been covered up by the prosecutor Hough because he took a check from Sally Bozeat the former wife of Willard as early as 2006 regarding the will. Then a little further down the road in October of 2010 Gerry Hough accepted a cash bribe from Mike Murphy the executor of the estate that is in for a big surprise soon. Mike stole all the money out of the Willard Bank account 20 days before his wife Venita Cottrill-Murphy killed Willard with a concoction of drugs on 20 October 2010.
“A formal complaint has been filed against Dr. Hilary Miller of Glenville for prescribing morphine to Willard Cottrill without ever seeing the patient and she responded to the D.O. Medical board about the complaint filed against her, but she LIED and said Willard was under hospice care!!”
NEVER has there been any record of Willard Cottrill being under hospice care. When this reporter called the person in charge of the investigation Diane Shephard from the medical board she confirmed Miller did respond, but said the matter was a hospice matter and that is why she prescribed morphine.
Again that is a complete and total lie and there is no record of any hospice care given to Willard Cottrill.
Sheriff Gerwig has been caught in a lie by giving false information pertaining to FOUR FOIA legal requests sent to his office and may face some legal difficulties and a law action against him and the commission very soon.

In Gilmer County the truth has been so sugar coated, so hidden by false fronts and buried under layers of corruption developed to support a small faction of shameless, self promoting, business men that it sours and becomes a very bitter pill to swallow. The BITTER TRUTH about GILMER COUNTY is that many citizens have justly complained of “Bitter Wrongs” done to them by those feeding at the public trough, but after all these years, so called leaders (some call them block bosses) still find it difficult to discern between a“LIE” and the “Bitter Truth” and are ever ready to sell the votes of those under their influence to the highest bidder. The “Bitter Truth” in Glenville the Crooked County seat is often about the “Bidder Truth!”
The bitterest pill of all is the knowledge that if political corruption were an Olympic event, Gilmer County would be a 55 to 1 favorite to take home a Gold Medal!

Reports of the recent “Visions” meeting with Commissioner Brian Kennedy in the lead indicate it took a predictable and useless direction as he tried to “Listen to the wind blow” to see which side his political bread was buttered on that day. Two public meetings revealed overwhelming majority support of bringing 911 services back to Gilmer County. The message was clear to anyone but Brian Kennedy who stated he did not really support it unless they could raise taxes with a levy to pay for it and whose feeble attempt to assert the levy vote in a run on sentence of nonsense when he thought no one was paying attention didn’t fly. Thus failing in his effort to achieve his real goal of pandering to Lewis County, giving them 911 along with the schools, he called for a “Poll” to answer the question which was the sole purpose for having those Vision meetings to begin with. Finding no way out he suddenly lent his voice to a “Block” of invisible people who “Don’t want 911 back here”. Out of Brian Kennedy’s made up lie of 150 voices we hear not one attended. but the real people he supposedly talked with during the storm had told him they were having a hard time and could not afford another levy as did those sitting in the room.

No Ike, the college should not take over 911!!
Sarah Rutherford shown in this regional jail mug shot above allegedly became involved with another PBHS student younger than 18 by initiating contact with the victim at the school to “solicit a relationship.”
The criminal complaint states that Rutherford and the second victim had daily contact with each other, and allegedly three incidents between the two occurred at least once.
Rutherford allegedly provided the student with alcohol, marijuana and Klonopin at her home; she provided the student with money to purchase marijuana for her, which he complied; and Rutherford took the student to her home, where she provided him with alcohol, marijuana and engaged in sexual intercourse.
“The defendant told the victim not to tell anyone about the sexual intercourse because they could get in trouble since she was a teacher and the victim was a student,” the complaint states
Of course, the existence of any such “Voting Block” is the furthest thing from the truth; this issue has nothing to do with whether you are “for bringing 911 back or not”. Everyone knows Gilmer County needs jobs and economic improvement desperately. Everyone uses 911; everyone with a phone pays for it with Gilmer County dollars.
No one denies the services should have been kept here to begin with and that Chapman and Kight gave it away as yet another political favor. To the people paying for the service, the real issue is about math. It’s about business and what makes sense. It’s about growth and support of the communities they live in. To the politicians it’s about keeping future job connections in outlying counties and placating the state to curry favor that enhances Morris chosen political aspirations. It’s all about them and the real question should be how much longer.
Those with strong convictions, the ones who know the real difference between right and wrong don’t sit still in fear. They don’t deny and lament the inevitable, not for long anyway. They get busy informing their neighbors, their community. They work hard to expose the truth. On the other hand, local politician Larry Chapman stood at a meet your candidate and made it plain that he wouldn’t fight any battle he didn’t think he could win to explain his inaction on the school takeover.
Barbour County Sheriff John Hawkins arrested Sarah Rutherford, 23, a Glenville State College graduate and long time Gilmer County resident, for allegedly engaging in sexual relationships with two students and providing one with drugs and alcohol.
The criminal complaint against Rutherford says she became acquainted with one of the victims, a student of hers at PBHS, in August and September. Although the boy was barely old enough to grow pubic hair the two began text messaging and Rutherford invited the student to her home, located in Barbour County, where she and the student allegedly had sexual intercourse, after smoking marijuana, drinking and taking drugs. If that child is like Sarah Ann Rutherford, who grew up as a teen and spent her early 20’s in Glenville attending Glenville State College where her mother works as a YES woman and secretary of MORRIS COLLEGE headquarters for the Church of IKE – NO WORRIES – BE HAPPY – Especially if your daughter is a WHORE like the Butcher Bitches Breaking Bad, for all the drug charges and the sex charges will be reduced down to nothing and just tossed away with just a few calls from IKE MORRIS or a couple of his attorneys , shit IKE can bribe a Federal Magistrate like JUDGE KAULL by selling him a house that gets appraised for 50 thousand more than it sold for just weeks after the sale. In May, Sarah Ann Rutherford a Glenville State Graduate, that became a high school teacher in Barbour County, was indicted on two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance for allegedly providing Klonopin, and some top of the line good countrified Gilmer County pussy that also included some marijuana to a minor sometime between October and December 2010. The Bitch was headed for prison, just like she deserved, then suddenly, just months ago, everything changed after they let some time go by on purpose so everyone would forget!
Just 28 days ago, from this date Friday 27 July 2012 — Rutherford admitted to smoking marijuana with the same student to whom she provided Klonopin and alcohol! That is NOT a misdemeanor!!
As part of the plea agreement the last Friday in June just last month, the felony charge of sexual abuse by a person in the position of trust of a child was dismissed and replaced with a misdemeanor charge of battery. The change was made under the condition that Rutherford plead guilty to the misdemeanor battery charge and two misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“The state agrees to move to dismiss the remaining counts in these two indictments,” Circuit Judge Alan D. Moats said.
Moats had ordered the state Department of Health and Human Resources to release records to the court as a result of Dyer’s motion in a hearing Tuesday. After reviewing the documents in their entirety, Prosecuting Attorney Leckta L. Poling recommended the felony count of sexual abuse by a person in the position of trust of a child be reduced to battery.
“The state received the documentation from the DHHR on June 26. After reviewing that documentation in its entirety, the state is aware that there are inconsistent statements with the victim,” Poling said. “Those are obviously issues.”
The documentation was confidential and had not been released to any person, including the court, according to Moats. The judge also stated that it appears the victim has given contradicting statements, one denying the relationship and one alleging the “conduct” took place. A testimony from another minor at Tuesday’s hearing also contradicted some of the statements, officials said.
“The court understands that such contradictions are not at all uncommon in cases of this nature pertaining to children; however, it puts the prosecuting attorney in a quandary to present a case to a jury,” Moats said.

Prosecuting Attorney Poling met with the victim of the alleged sexual abuse, who is now 18, and his father, who she said “are in agreement with the reduction of the felony offense to the misdemeanor battery.”
Poling also believes, based upon the records in the evidence, that the community and school students are protected with the additional condition of the plea agreement that Rutherford voluntarily gives up her teaching certificate and will no longer teach in the future. However, I have to say this Poling must be in reality some dumb pollack ! For she is absolutely talking out her ass, if that is resolve to the sex with high school students issue!
With NO PUNISHMENT meted out this shit will happen over and over and over again, and the Bitter Truth about this part of West Virginia, is that some attorneys and prosecutors have their heads completely up their ass and have no sense of what the real world is all about and live in a world where there are different laws for different people.
For Poling to allow a plea bargain on a high profile case like this she truly has to be about a dumb bitch, or else why go to the trouble of arresting that off the hook whore Sarah Rutherford anyway! Jesus!
“So I believe that position statement addresses the state’s concern regarding the victim and the community in this matter,” said Poling, who has to be every bit as whacked out as our very own Gerald B Hough, and most likely is doing a favor for the Church of Ike!!
Rutherford is not to have any contact with either of the victims, by order of the court, but she will dream of having oral sex with both of them you can bet on it, for she is one sick bitch!!

A sentencing hearing will be set for a later date, according to the clerk of courts of Barbour County yesterday afternoon.
For the two misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, there is a possible penalty of up to one year in jail or a fine of no less than $50 or more than $500 or both. For the misdemeanor of battery, there is a possible penalty of up to one year in jail or a fine of $150 or both.
Moats ordered a pre-sentence investigation and said Rutherford’s bond would continue under the supervision of Probation Officer Heather Pride.
Rutherford had been scheduled to go to trial in the month of JULY, where a jury would not have appreciated her sexual prowess on unsuspecting high school youth and sent that evil bitch raised up as pretty as you please under the nose of the Lord of the Church of Ike himself, who reached down and saved that SEXUAL DEVIANT Sarah Rutherford — and did so, as a favor to her mother Joanne Rutherford longtime employee of MORRIS COLLEGE — And the church of Ike – NO MATTER HOW EVIL — NO MATTER HOW BAD- The Church of Ike will save those that bow to the Lord IKE MORRIS.

If a wide awake, fully informed majority recognized and swallowed the bitter pill of truth filled with this history of plutocracy and corruption they could provide the incentive for reforming local politics. The result might well be that Gilmer County possesses the ability to be a model for political reform throughout the state. But does it have the nerve? It should, it comes from good, country stock but it is well known and widely accepted that every county in this state has low level political hacks that are doing a little bit of chiseling. Not until the day that the honest people of Gilmer County swallow that bitter pill of truth will they be able to truly appreciate the efforts of citizens such as Sir Lawrence Smith, the people’s knight in shining armor whose skills and willingness to fight for right in the public arena has proved credible and go far to reveal how very low the corrupt will go and to what lengths to hide dishonest dealings. Or the most Honorable David Ramezan, Gilmer County’s champion of truth and transparency, constantly persecuted for his courage to provide a public voice to those living in fear. That man pays a heavy price to carry the load for the non-elite, the everyday citizen; when will you return the favor?
Gilmer County has a very long history of widespread corruption extending to law enforcement, education and deep within citizen organizations. Residents have stood witness to well-intentioned and capable candidates for political office getting their voices squelched by the corrupt politicians who have abused their power in the name of personal gain for years. Try to imagine the number of opportunities that have been lost in so many areas of concern such as education, health care, and infrastructure as a result of this abuse of the public trust and the public checkbook.
The people of this Central West Virginia region who proudly call themselves Mountaineers have never been truly free from the depredations of political and financial corruption. Until that happens there will be no growth. That’s another taste of the bitter truth.
The vast majority of Gilmer County citizens are not corrupt; they are honest people seeking to make better lives for their families. Nonetheless, these same straightforward and sincere people seem to have become so unfeeling, so desensitized about corruption, so accustomed to a money talks attitude that many of them laugh at the thought of being able to remove elected officials whose name have become synonymous with self serving greed. They really want people to believe they are powerless to effect change and are truly a sick product of an even sicker society which surrounds them. Many simply ignore the unfortunate long line of always unethical, immoral and forever questionable legal acts of thievery which only serves to condone, promote, and perpetuate such behavior. It is said over and over that “everything in West Virginia is political except politics and that’s personal.” Maybe it’s time to start taking the trashing of your good name and destroying of communities “personal”. No time like the present to build a better tomorrow. Let’s get to work and take out the trash West Virginia and especially you Gilmer County, as soon as we take our medicine. Even the Ghost Wolf needed medicine from fighting the Crooks from Crooked County and the Demi-Gods that rule the Ville with evil!!

Barbour County Prosecuting Attorney Leckta Poling said Sarah Ann Rutherford a GSC Graduate pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor battery and two counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, involving two different students while a teacher at Phillip-Barbour High School earlier in the month of July!
A quick check with the court clerk reveals there is NO SENTENCING date scheduled as yet, which we all think is as WEIRD as this high school teacher from Glenville having sex with young boys.
Some CCC and SS members feel strongly that the POWER of DARKNESS stepped in and made some deals with the judge as the Church of Ike tends to do — much to the detriment of the community, as always.
One year ago today, Thomas Lee Husk, 45, a resident of Sugar Camp, was charged with the second degree murder of John Dale Cyrus, 45, a WV Department of Highway’s employee who lived in the Chloe area.
Husk will go on trial for Cyrus’ death on July 31.
Calhoun prosecutor Rocky Holmes told the Parkersburg News that Cyrus’ death appeared to be premeditated, while Husk’s defense attorney John Oshoway said it was clearly a case of self defense.
Huge numbers of bloggers on newspaper and TV sites following the shooting defended Husk, indicating it was a ‘stand your ground’ case.
Prosecutor Holmes told the Parkersburg News that Husk made statements that implied he was planning to kill Cyrus. He also said an eyewitness saw the two men wrestling for the gun before Cyrus was shot.
The prosecutor said there was a lack of physical evidence to support the claim that Husk was punched in the head by Cyrus several times.
Corruption? Failure to launch is even more to the point. Brian Kennedy ran in 2008 on his promise to bring 911 back to Gilmer County but he and then Commissioner Chapman did nothing. They couldn’t even get a committee meeting handled!
After four years in office neither Kennedy or his butt buddy EDA Director Chapman can tell you what it will cost, how many people will it employ, what will the pay scale be, not even where will it be located.
Four years and not one fact they don’t waffle on by saying they don’t really know. What have Brian Kennedy, and Larry Chapman, Hess, and Darrel Ramsey done in four years but pick up a paycheck? They only thing they seem to know for sure is they know a bunch of invisible people they say are against it while they talk to Ike Morris about letting the college control this and any income that should be contributing to meeting the needs of the people who live here. If the teacher had been teaching in Gilmer County where they have different rules, she would have never been arrested, since she is part of the “inner circle”!
In Gilmer County none of the allegations made against Ms. Rutherford are punishable by jail time.
In Gilmer County the Sheriff’s Department only investigates wrongdoing at the high school when they want to. All of the allegations made against Sarah Rutherford would be “JUST OK” with Gerald B Hough for she is part of the “inner circle” and he would not have time to prosecute that case, he might be late to teach class out of town or spending time at GSC fitness center.
Is Sexual abuse at our high school investigated or covered up? Most likely, our sheriff, when it is convenient, says the State Police has jurisdiction at the high school and the courthouse, not him.
We can’t seem to find just where our sheriff’s jurisdiction is right now, so there is always that problem, except maybe up his ass? Is your jurisdiction up your ass Sheriff Mickey Mouse Metz?
The criminal complaint against Rutherford says she became acquainted with one of the victims, a student a PBHS, in August and September. The two began text messaging and she invited the student to her home, located in Barbour County, where she and the student allegedly had sexual intercourse.
Through September and December, Rutherford allegedly became involved with another Philip Barbour High School student younger than 18 by initiating contact with the victim at the school to “solicit a relationship.“
The criminal complaint states that Rutherford and the second victim had daily contact with each other, and allegedly three incidents between the two that included sex occurred.
Rutherford allegedly provided the student with alcohol, marijuana and Klonopin at her home; she provided the student with money to purchase marijuana for her, which he complied; and Rutherford took the student to her home, where she provided him with alcohol, marijuana and engaged in sexual intercourse.
“The defendant told the victim not to tell anyone about the sexual intercourse because they could get in trouble since she was a teacher and the victim was a student,“ the complaint states.

The lack of space in West Virginia’s prisons is leaving dozens of convicted killers and more than 100 sex offenders in the state’s regional jails.
Figures presented to legislators recently show that 481 inmates in regional jails last month should be in prison for violent crimes.
These violent offenders made up close to 27% of the nearly 1,800 inmates who remained in jails last month because the prisons are at capacity.
The violent felons in jail included 65 convicted of homicide, and 124 of a sex offense involving force.
Acting regional jails Chief Joe DeLong said this backlog is making the jails more dangerous.
Lawmakers said West Virginia needs a policy that makes it a priority to move violent felons off the waiting list and into prison.

Judge David W. Nibert dismissed a 2nd degree murder charge against Thomas Lee Husk earlier this morning, based on errors apparently made by Calhoun prosecutor Rocky Holmes during a grand jury presentment in March, 2011.
Husk had been charged with the shooting of John Dale Cyrus in June, 2011. The case was to go to trial before a jury today, with 41 potential jurors being called for selection.
Nibert reviewed the issues with all parties involved in his chambers prior to issuing his order, reviewing the grand jury transcript.
Nibert said that the release order for Husk was to be in effect immediately, but could be refiled because the case was dismissed without prejudice.
Sources said the case would likely be brought back.
At issue was the late delivery of the Grand Jury transcript to Husk’s attorney John Oshoway late last week. Judge Nibert said the delay was because of illness issues with the recording clerk.
Nibert called Holmes statements to the Grand Jury, “A serious matter, but not purposefully done.”
He indicated the prosecutor gave “instructions to the Grand Jury,” were not appropriate or in violation of statues.
Additionally, defense attorney John Oshoway said the grand jury presentment indicated an egregious miscarriage, because Prosecutor Holmes or the State Police failed to tell the grand jurors that John Cyrus had chased Husk and his family in a car from Arnoldsburg to Sugar Camp (near Big Bend) about 25 miles, before he chased Husk up a dead-end road where Husk shot Cyrus.
Oshoway called it “willful misrepresentation…giving a false impression,” to the grand jurors.
Oshoway also said statements given indicated Cyrus did not have a weapon, “when in fact he had a knife in a sheath on his person,” and another knife was found on the ground.
Calhoun prosecutor Rocky Holmes told the Parkersburg News that Cyrus’ death appeared to be premeditated, while Husk’s defense attorney Oshoway said it was clearly a case of self defense.
Numbers of bloggers and regional newspaper as well as TV sites following the shooting defended Husk, indicating it was a ‘stand your ground’ case.
Prosecutor Holmes told the Parkersburg News that Husk made statements that implied he was planning to kill Cyrus. He also said an eyewitness saw the two men wrestling for the gun before Cyrus was shot.
The prosecutor told the paper there was a lack of physical evidence to support the claim that Husk was punched in the head by Cyrus several times.
Attorney Oshoway also raised an issue of lost transcripts of one or more witnesses by the State Police, saying the agency reported the transcripts had been lost when a computer crashed.
The shooting appeared to be linked to ill-feelings between the men after Cyrus divorced his wife, who then began dating Husk, creating a negative climate between the men.

It has been years since I quit my job as a newspaper reporter. I always wanted to be a professional journalist, always wanted to have a salaried job with (partial) benefits, cool employers, quality co-workers and a flexible schedule – and that is what I had.
But, I never wanted to play head games. Never wanted to hurt people, highlight their downfalls, expose their mistakes, and be caught up in politics. I never wanted to take on the WV State Police, or deal with the underbelly of society.
In fact, I thought that “getting a real job” would save me from the underbelly of society.
But the truth is, this underbelly is classless in Glenville. It is found in every social level, in every business, every office. If you look for truth, look for justice, you will discover that every where you look you will find something that isn’t on the up and up and that is the very denotation of Glenville and Gilmer County.

I didn’t want to say anything, but a while ago, close in time to the rape of that Mary girl who worked at Go-Mart, I was stupid enough to accept an invitation to, “kick it,” as he said with a guy from the Glenville Football team. There were some other students there for a short time and then it was only the two of us.
Lot of beer, and some marijuana he got from that other out of town football player that got busted for drugs, and a lot of liquor. I was not yet of drinking age, but he is, and so were several of his black friends. Once we got there, everything seemed sort of normal and the party spirit prevailed and then he started giving me shots.
I drank about seven shots of Bacardi 151 ( so now you know who I am talking about, for he is known for buying 151 Rum) and I was woozy and not myself, and just a little sick. Then everything looked kind of blurry, and I have drank that much before at a college party and was OK before, and so I was starting to think someone drugged me, or it was just the real good pot, but I was still conscious.
This person is pretty much a favorite of his team, it seems and he offered the 8th shot, but he combined it with two liquors, and I think he put some sort of powder in it, that he said was a mix from a package, and I was stupid enough to believe him. I honestly did not see all of his little mixing, but I caught enough to get suspicious, but like an idiot, I drank that shot then walked outside and from there I don’t remember or recall at all what happened, but when I woke up in a strange bed, I felt wet and there was obviously semi-dried semen, on my thigh, and I had never had sex with a black man before, and didn’t want to. I also saw that I was bruised on the inside of my thigh when I got an adrenalin rush to my heart realizing what probably happened and remembered my dad saying, that whatever happened at school please don’t have sex with someone that is black for my dads, dad was involved in the Ku Klux Klan here in West Virginia years ago, and although, nobody in the family is members now, some of their upbringing was prejudice, however, my parents didn’t really raise me that way, but my brothers say the N word quite a lot, so I was used to hearing it. I wanted to use that N word at the moment, for I didn’t want to have sex with him, I just wanted to have fun like everyone else.
Now I know Mary lost her job, has emotional difficulties and I hear attempted to kill herself over the fact she was threatened by the prosecutor of Gilmer County, and told she was a liar when I know that Gabe guy raped her and really hurt her and bruised her insides and made her not want to have sex with her boyfriend even. I feel the same way sort of, because I just don’t want to have sex and dating after that, with strictly people of my own race has been a disaster for now when someone touches me down there, I start to shake and then I cry and there goes the guy. Why was it the prosecutors business, to even talk to Mary, for if you ever knew her, shouldn’t it have been a woman from that office to ease the hardness of it all, for I am here to tell you, it really makes for a difficult situation, for my little sister got me counseling and she cried all day when I told her that I remember part of it now, in dreams that have become nightmares and now I don’t want to sleep, but I have to take medication to get through the day.
I found this site for they were all joking around about the Barr code that night, and I asked what that was, and they said it was the President of the College’s code called the Peter Barr code, and that the white girls were suppose to treat other races on campus as equals for everyone was suppose to get along. When I googled the Peter Barr code, I was immediately bombarded with some bad images, that brought bad memories and then I finally got it. Whoever it was that put those photo’s up must have known it would trigger some memories of what happened that night, and what did happen, the little I can remember is a fairly accurate depiction of what happened to me because of that stupid college president.

CHARLESTON – Before becoming a family law judge, records show multiple complaints were lodged against a Putnam County judge for making unprofessional, abrasive and insensitive comments as an attorney against his clients or other litigants.
Since January, at least six ethics complaints have been lodged against William M. “Chip” Watkins III with the Judicial Investigation Commission, the arm of the state Supreme Court that investigates misconduct by judicial officers, for unprofessional behavior.
Those include one filed by Hurricane Pastor Arthur D. Hage in June that included a video from a May 23 hearing showing Watkins screaming at and falsely accusing Hage of being behind an article posted on a Putnam County news website the day before about Watkins and his wife previously being delinquent in paying their homeowner’s association dues.
A review of his disciplinary file at the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the arm of the Court that investigates attorney misconduct, shows 11 complaints were filed against Watkins between 1993 and 2004. The last two were filed following his election as Putnam County’s family law judge in 2002, but stemmed from his actions, or lack thereof, while in private practice.
In at least three complaints, Watkins received warnings for his conduct. A fourth resulted in formal disciplinary action.
Also, in at least two other complaints, ODC took notice of inappropriate comments made by Watkins including calling a former client’s ex-wife a “bitch.”
Admitting to ‘intemperate language’
In a complaint lodged Jan. 14, 2002, Brian A. Sims of Scott Depot accused Watkins of failing to timely handle a child custody dispute with his ex-wife. In his complaint, Sims alleged Watkins failed to “perform his duties in the timeframe that was set forth by the court which caused delays in my case,” and “did not provide me with any billing information.”
Also, Sims said when he asked why his ex-wife, who is not indentified in the complaint, was not allowing him visitation with their children pursuant to the final divorce decree, Watkins replied “that is was because she was a bitch.” As a result of his unprofessional conduct, Sims said he fired Watkins, and hired a new one.
In response to Sims’ complaint, Watkins said he “achieved the objectives of the litigation, communicated fully with [Sims], and billed exactly the work that he had done.” The reason Sims lodged his complaint, Watkins said, was in part due to him turning Sims’ overdue account to a collection agency, and in part because “the ex-wife had not received the death penalty.”
Nevertheless, Watkins “agreed with much of [Sims’] description of his use of intemperate language in dealing with the ex-wife.”
Then-Chief Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel Lawrence J. Lewis dismissed the complaint on Oct. 24, 2002 finding that Watkins’ “intemperate language may have been contrary to the voluntary Standards of Professional Conduct, [it] did not rise to the level of a violation of the mandatory Rules of Professional Conduct.” Also, he said any disputes with Watkins’ billings should be taken up with the state Bar’s Voluntary Fee Dispute Resolution Committee.
Like Sims, Carl A. Clark of Charleston accused Watkins of unprofessionalism in both his actions and words. The difference was Clark’s case dealt with a property dispute.
According to his complaint filed Aug. 31, 1998, Clark he paid Watkins to represent both he and his parents in a civil suit against Wanda Sue Cremeans, a realtor who helped sell the Clark’s home in Hurricane. They accused Cremeans of converting the proceeds from the sale for her personal use.
Though Watkins did file the suit, he only listed Clark’s parents as plaintiffs. Clark eventually would be involved in the suit when Cremeans named him as a third-party defendant.
For one of the hearings in the case, Clark, who works in a factory, appeared “as neat and well-groomed as anyone.” Clark says he took a remark Watkins made about him dressing up for the lawyers and the judge as offensive.
In responding to Clark’s complaint, Watkins said he explained that he would only represent the parents. Also, he said his handling of the case was “vindicated” when the jury ruled that Clark, who at one time was Cremeans’ boyfriend, spent half the proceeds.
Furthermore, Watkins said his comment about Clark’s attire “was not intended to sarcastic.” Instead, “he was trying to be helpful.”
Then-Chief Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel Bruce A. Kayuha dismissed Clark’s complaint on July 11, 2000. In dismissing it, Kayuha, who is now the Court’s chief counsel, said “while [Watkins’] comment may have been offensive to [Clark], rude conduct does not constitute unethical behavior.”
Communication fail
Despite the dismissals the early 2000s, Watkins was not let off the hook as easily in the 1990s. Records show, four ethics complaints filed against him between 1993 and 1997 regarding his failure to communicate with clients led to warnings, and in one instance, an admonishment.
In separate ethics complaints filed on Feb. 9, 1996 and Sept. 18, 1997, Gary D. Ellithrop, then a resident of Ft. Bliss, Texas, and Hazel P. Harmon of Red House, alleged that Watkins neglected to take meaningful action in their respective domestic cases. Both alleged Watkins not only failed to return repeated telephone calls, but also refund their retainers.
In Harmon’s case, Watkins refused to return it because the retainer she paid him was non-refundable.
Ellithrop also alleged after he discharged him, Watkins was slow in returning his file.
Both complaints were closed on May 1, 1999 without formally disciplinary action taken against Watkins. However, David J. Romano, chairman of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board’s investigative panel warned Watkins that “he must return his clients’ calls in a more diligent manner” and determined that he was not entitled to a non-refundable retainer in Harmon’s case.
In his closing letter dated July 1, 1999, Romano noted that Watkins and Ellithrop resolved their dispute via the Bar’s Voluntary Fee Dispute Resolution Program.
Also, Romano said that as a result of “several formal and informal ethics complaints concerning [Watkins’] communication with clients,” aside from those lodged by Ellithrop and Harmon, “there appear to be areas of [his] practice which need to be improved upon.” At the panel’s direction, Romano said he would be meeting with Watkins “to discuss potential areas of improvement.”
In her complaint filed Feb. 23, 1994, Nitro resident Janet E. Adkins, like Ellithrop and Harmon, said Watkins failed to take meaningful action in her domestic case, and return repeated telephone calls.
Specifically, Adkins alleged Watkins was dilatory in “obtaining a ‘QDRO’ [qualified domestic relations order] for her ex-spouse’s retirement, in getting a clear deed to property and in getting money repaid for insurance.”
Records show, the Board admonished Watkins for not only his failure to communicate with Adkins, but also with ODC. In his closing letter dated Oct. 21, 1995, Panel Chairman Stephen P. Jory said Watkins is “admonished and advised to refrain from dilatory conduct and to respond to telephone calls and letters more diligently in the future, including those to Disciplinary Counsel, should the need arise in the future.”
Six months earlier, the Board closed the first complaint that was ever filed against Watkins. In her complaint filed Aug. 11, 1993, Ila Jeannie Anderson of Cross Lanes accused Watkins of failing to act promptly in getting property given to her following the divorce from her ex-husband, Kenneth Koch, Jr., into her name.
In closing Anderson’s complaint on April 8, 1995, Jory said though Watkins admitted “to a certain lack of diligence … [he] has not been the sole cause of the delay.” Nevertheless, Jory warned Watkins “to avoid such delays in the future” adding “[t]his conduct appears to be an isolated incident.”

Gilmer Free Press says County to get FRESH START!
It is understood that a decision was made by Charleston officials that the West Virginia School Board Authority (SBA), headed by Dr. Mark Manchin, will fund construction of a new grade school in Gilmer County to replace the Glenville, Sand Fork, and Normantown elementary schools.
Also, there will be a fresh start in selecting the site for the new school.
In the interim there will be a determination of the general geographic location for the new school and criteria for use in selecting its site will be defined.
Then, the information will go out to the public to solicit interest in selling or donating land on which the new school will be constructed.
There is news too that the WV Legislature is drafting law to ensure that when the Linn bi-county school is opened, Gilmer County citizens will have equal say in how it is administered.
Dr. William K. Simmons, the spokesperson for the Gilmer Schools Coalition, remains fully committed to full transparency and public involvement in decisions affecting what comes next.
One of his goals is to get the State to build a clinic at the new school to be built in the County to provide our children top quality health care.

Some of the ones making these best interest decisions are running for office, and are probably worried about being re-elected. Easy to say this is what they will do. The general public and common people like us will still have no say. This is already a done deal for the elites. Dr. Simmons is committed to helping “US” and had he been allowed to be our Gilmer County Superintendent this county would not be having these issues. KIDS COUNT STUDY: WV NEAR BOTTOM IN EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

West Virginia is near the bottom in educational outcomes in the USA, according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s annual Kids Count Data Book.
West Virginia ranks 47th in the nation in the report’s education indicators.
Nearly four out of five of the state’s 8th graders (79%) are not proficient in math, and nearly three out of four 4th graders (73%) are not proficient in reading.
Joining West Virginia in the bottom five nationally are Arizona, Mississippi, New Mexico and Nevada.
The bitter truth? No, the Kids don’t count. The only thing that really “counts” in West Virginia is how much money you got and whose pocket you’re in.

Last week, three stories brought the North American bureau chief of RTL-TV news (The Netherlands) and his cameraman to West Virginia.
While state and national media focused on the toxic chemical spill in Charleston, Erik Mouthaan and his cameraman, Freek Herberts, traveled the back roads of the Mountain State for other reasons.
Based in New York City, the pair spent a day in Calhoun County putting together a story about the lack of high-speed Internet access.
In addition, they also focused on prescription drug addiction and the coal industry in the state.
“The fact that 1-in-7 people (in the U.S.) don’t have access to the Internet is mind-boggling to me,” Mouthaan said last week. He surmised since America is the home to Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and invented the concept of online shopping there is no good reason why everyone shouldn’t have access to high-speed Internet.
A problem in rural West Virginia is selling so-called high-speed that really doesn’t come close to advertised speeds.
“Back home in Holland connectivity to the Internet is not an issue. We have 5-percent of the population not online and it’s mainly because they choose not to,” he said, with real broadband speeds.
RTL-TV producers in New York City began researching the lack of rural broadband and stumbled on The Hur Herald’s extensive and ongoing coverage of the issue.
Hur Herald owner/publisher, Bob Weaver, subsequently agreed to assist them with the story.
Dobbins said at times the connection speed operates at such a crawl if he were to attempt to download a full-length movie it could take 14-days.
Marvin and Peggy Stemple, of the Rocksdale/Richardson area of Calhoun County still have to use a dial-up connection using a phone line modem.
If they’re lucky they can connect to the Hur Herald and view the home page after waiting five minutes to download it at the 56k connection speed.
By comparison, using AT&T’s Internet speed test a Shentel cable modem in Burnsville, WV, clocked download speeds 394-times faster than a 56k modem.
Weaver’s Hur Herald uses a combination of Frontier’s Internet service and HughesNet satellite.
The pairing is costly and is slow by mainstream high-speed standards. “We keep getting told it’s going to get better,” Weaver said.
However, the promises government and politicians have made, along with many phone and cable providers, are largely unfulfilled in rural West Virginia where less than half the population has access to real high-speed Internet.
Mouthaan and Herberts also traveled to the Wyoming County city of Oceana interviewing citizens about the documentary “Oxyana,” which locals say Oceana is now known as because of the OxyCotin addiction levels there.
And finally, they also were working on a news story about the economic impact of the decreased demand for coal and how changes in EPA regulations were affecting mining here.
RTL News’ trip to Calhoun County this week isn’t the first time media have stopped by The Hur Herald to visit with Bob Weaver.
Writers from The Atlantic and Business Week magazines have made the pilgrimage. Several daily newspaper reporters and columnists have stopped in and done stories.
And Weaver has been featured in several TV documentaries, including one produced by PBS. The Hur Herald is in its 15th year of publication and has over 2-million unique visitors to the website annually.

Freedom Industries told a bankruptcy judge the company is in a “death spiral,” which could well be interpreted, at least from West Virginia history, that taxpayers and regional businesses will bare the financial brunt of the chemical spill that affected 300,000 West Virginians.
Efforts will be made to minimize Freedoms liability in the toxic spill, a clue being that WV governor Earl Ray Tomblin repeatedly told news media this chemical spill was not related to the coal industry.
But it is related to the coal industry.
The chemical is used to “winterize” stored coal piles and keep them from freezing. Mother Nature, to the best of my knowledge, rains on coal piles, and the rain flows into the state’s pristine mountain streams.
Small doses of toxins are of little concern in the Mountain State, albeit they compound.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Ronald Pearson called the case “one of the most unique Chapter 11 cases I’ve ever seen.”
An interpretation of the judge’s statement likely means “bend over West Virginia.”
Freedom Industries is variously claiming they are putting up $300,000 or $800,000 for re-mediating the spill, but not yet discussing fault.
One hour after Freedom filed for bankruptcy Friday, the company filed an emergency motion for “debtor-in-possession” (DIP) financing, which would allow it to secure a loan up to $5 million to continue to function in some capacity, according to the Charleston Gazette.
The loan would “provide additional liquidity to [Freedom] in order to allow it to continue as a going concern,” the loan to be obtained from a company that was also set up brand-new Friday called Mountaineer Funding.
Mountaineer Funding’s one listed member is J. Clifford Forrest, who owns Chemstream Holdings, who owns Freedom Industries

A Clay County woman is facing multiple charges related to arson.
Kristie Marie English, 28, is incarcerated in Central Regional Jail on arson, 4th degree, attempting to commit; assault and destruction with injury to property. It is not known if she had ties to the once famous Fire Starting Cult led by Christopher Todd Smith (Hot Toddy) a former Calhoun County resident now seeking sanctuary in Wood County, but she could have possibly used an alias as far back as 2006 and known then as Kracker Kristie, with the nickname of Krispy Kracker!
Bond has been set at $26,000 and if allowed to be bailed out Kristie Marie could prove to be a liability for her possible dangerous ties to the Cult!

West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant is due to file her candidacy papers for the U.S. Senate race.
Tennant plans to file her papers Friday morning at her office in the state Capitol in Charleston. The Democrat announced her candidacy in September.
She’ll be seeking to fill the Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Jay Rockefeller.
Republican U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito filed her candidate papers in the Senate race on Thursday.
Our first hand dealings with Natalie Tennant showed her to be highly dishonest and devious in her dealings with voter fraud and election fraud which has allowed to become out of control in Gilmer County.
Both the current Commissions Clerk and prior Gilmer Commission Clerk Beverly Marks known as BM around the office for the awful stink she would cause, and did cause by being arrested for two misdemeanor crimes involving the election process.
The felony charges of switching out recording modules giving an entire election to be fraudulent was just overlooked by Natalie Tennant and her office. She weathered the storm and hoped nobody noticed. It didn’t work out for her here, for she revealed herself to be a plain and simple crook by allowing Sheriff Metz to run for the office of magistrate after knowingly presenting fraudulent credentials. However, the people had already been reached with the truth and that scheme did not work out well for Sandy Pettit the person that decides who runs for elections and who wins, there has never been an election by the people in Gilmer County.
Natalie Tennant proved herself to be untrustworthy last time we worked closely with her and her devious staff right up and in to the complete SHAM of investigations she conducted regarding the election fraud complaints.

A controversial bill about legalizing medical marijuana has been introduced in the WV legislature by Delegate Mike Manypenny (D-Taylor).
The bill has been introduced in three previous sessions with no luck.
The bill would allow people with debilitating medical conditions, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and HIV/AIDS, to use medical marijuana if a doctor recommends it.
The legislation would also establish a state regulated system for marijuana growing and distribution centers, and the all round need for weed.
Twenty-two states have legalized medical marijuana. In Colorado, residents can purchase and smoke marijuana, controlled and taxed by the state, but most politicians in WV are retarded so not much of a chance of anything cool happening here.
Proponents of legalization say hundreds of thousands of Americans die annually from legalized alcohol, tobacco and drug addiction. The chance of the bill passing is slim, based on the state’s inability to change laws related to drug offenses and addiction, since the legislators are made up mostly of drunken bafoons, making West Virginia a state that leads the nation in incarceration and massive participation in dumb as fuck laws since law enforcement is mostly made up of imbeciles.
Prison overcrowding in West Virginia increased from 1,500 prisoners in 1990 to about 6,500 in 2010 – more than four times, but nobody really gives a fuck about that in West Virginia considering the inbreeding of the families of most public officials and such.
Figures from the West Virginia Division of Corrections show 27.6 percent of all our state’s prisoners were convicted of drug offenses, while about 50% of other convictions are drug related, but those dumb fucks in state government could really give a fuck for they got their own little group of idiots to contend with.
While polling in West Virginia indicates significant public support, 56% favoring and 34% opposing, legislature watchers says legalization efforts for medical marijuana is a touchy proposal,mainly for the fact we have no true representation in West Virginia, just a concocted good ole boys network that is as loony as any insane asylum!

Judge David Nibert rejected a plea agreement April 6th in Calhoun Circuit Court sought by Grantsville resident Christopher Todd Smith, indicating Smith has a long list of criminal charges in several counties.
The action means Smith will stand trial, likely in June.
Smith had pled guilty to “conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver with an unknown individual,” after police said they discovered a gallon bag of marijuana in his residence in 2007.
During that same incident, Smith was cleared of charges filed against him for allegedly shooting a BB gun at a Charleston Gazette newspaper carrier, indicating a problem with inconsistent testimony.
Smith’s attorney Tom Whittier said, “I ask your honor to accept this plea,” after Whittier reviewed Smith’s long criminal record, making corrections to court documents.
Judge Nibert responded by saying “I’ve given this matter a lot of consideration about accepting this agreement, with Smith paying a fine and walking away.”
Nibert continued, Smith “Has an almost 20 year history [of crimes] and I’m not going to accept this agreement.”
Whittier objected to the presence of the Hur Herald in the courtroom related to taking photographs. Judge Nibert advised Whittier the court is a public forum and the Circuit Court allows photography with some limited exceptions.
Whittier asked the court, “How many people do you know who have made such an effort [to reform]?”, saying Smith has obtained 91 hours of college credit in criminal justice at Glenville State College.
“When not going to school, he has been in business. He has tried to reform himself,” Whittier said. “His glass is half-full, not half-empty … His record is exceptional … toward being a productive citizen.”
Smith has maintained he was not aware who owned the drugs found in his residence.
Speaking on his own behalf, Smith told Judge Nibert he didn’t feel like he had done anything (wrong) that he was trying to get an education and better himself.
Smith’s plea agreement had said “That the defendant agrees to appear and truthfully testify as to all matters within his knowledge when summoned by any party in any criminal matter,” among other conditions.
The state had also agreed to dismiss any charges pending against Kelly Lawson, related to the case.
Smith remains on bond until his trial. Custody of the trained Gila Monster appears to remain with Kelli Nicole Stamper Lawson long time girlfriend to Todd Smith who filed assault charges on him in the town of Glenville within days of this article being published.

State Police in Gilmer County have charged a Grantsville resident with assault, the charge was filed Monday in Magistrate Carol Wolfe’s court.
Sr. Trooper J. R. Brewer, according to a criminal complaint, says Christopher Todd Smith, 37, allegedly committed assault on his girlfriend, Kelli Lawson.
Brewer says “Mary Ann Waters (drove) to the West Virginia State Police detachment parking lot with the other victim, passenger Kelli Nicole Lawson,” identified as a girlfriend of Smith.
Officer Brewer says Smith also drove onto the parking lot.
Both he and Kelli Lawson exited their vehicles, “screaming and trying to get into the office.”
“Mary Ann Waters stated while she was stopped at a red light in Glenville, the accused approached her vehicle quickly and attempted to open the door, which made the victim fear for her safety,” says the complaint.
“Kelli Lawson…advised this officer that she was scared and felt intimidated when the accused tried to get into the vehicle,” Brewer said.
Does anyone want to guess what Gerald B Hough did about that alleged incident with Smith chasing down Kelli just a few short months before her death at the home of Hot Toddy leader of the Fire Starting Cult uh huh uh huh!!?

Without a doubt, the chief and main news in Creston is the weather with snow and cold weather. The global warming crew is busy at the UN and down in the swamps of the lower Potomac working to “fight nature and collect more taxes” but, as noted in the foreign press January 2014 is going down in the record books as one of the coldest on record and there is a feeling that such may continue to be the case for perhaps the next 30 years. One local resident found some 75 watt light bulbs in a store. They are said to be now banned because they “contributed to global warming” and we must now purchase hazardous material light bulbs made in the Chinese People’s Republic.
Local cattlemen have been having problems with calves born during the very cold weather. Some of the new arrivals survived while others did not which amounts to significant financial loss. Generally speaking warmer weather is better for agricultural operations in the temperate zones. Longer growing seasons are generally considered to be a plus and milder winters are less of an economic drain on everyone. One Creston connected woman who lives in Delaware noted that the new shipment of fuel oil for her furnace cost $3.94/gallon [fuel oil is what is left after the good stuff is separated in refining crude oil] and the price of propane has doubled. It should be noted that the wet Marcellus & Utica wells are rich in propane so such should be an incentive for more drilling in the area.

While the price of natural gas went up on the markets, December gas produced locally fetched the great sum of $2.91/MMBTU (or dekatherm). The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude is $94.64 (tier one) while drip fetches $78.55, Marcellus & Utica light $84.70 and medium $94.60/bbl.

HUNTINGTON — An inmate is suing various correctional officers claiming he was beaten by them while in custody. Joshua Ellis filed a seven count lawsuit Jan. 14 in Cabell Circuit Court against Correctional Officers Harshbarger, Stevens, McComas, Blankenship, Lambert and Farrell, each individually and in their official capacity, the West Virginia Regional Jail and Correctional Facility Authority and John Doe.
Ellis says that while he was incarcerated at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, he was severely beaten by the defendants beginning in September and October 2012. He says during that time the defendants began by threatening him before the threats escalated to physical assaults. The plaintiff claims the defendants handcuffed and detained him and then beat him by kicking and striking him, causing him to need stitches, suffer a broken collar bone and broken ribs, among other injuries.
Ellis is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages. He is being represented in the case by attorney Kerry A. Nessel.

Gerald P Tinney who was just acting like most other cops do often was arrested yesterday for allegedly stealing drugs from the Richwood Police Department’s evidence room while he was a police officer.
WV State Police has charged him with breaking and entering, entering without breaking and delivery of a controlled substance.
It is alleged Tinney and another suspect went into the evidence room on the day after Christmas and stole 30 hydrocodone pills for a little Holiday Cheer to go with their beer.
Tinney was a Richwood police officer at the time, and now is an inmate.
Hopefully Tinny can make friends with the dude that made SALWA AMIN from BUCKWILD his bitch at CRJ for a little extra added enjoyment and possible ROXY hookup for AMIN in JAIL.

This article alone has gathered more evidence in the murder of Willard Cottrill than the Sheriffs Department has in three years.
That piece of paper with the list of drugs given and the times drugs were given that included deadly morphine is written in two different hand writings and shows that a mixture of lethal drugs was forced into the mouth of Willard Cottrill. This is such a crime!! And the Sheriff does nothing? I for one am not gonna put up with another Mickey Metz that lied to us for eight years. We should start proceedings to remove Sheriff Gerwig at once.
One has to ask themselves, WHY would the prosecutor and the Sheriff lie to the citizens of Gilmer County and refuse to take complaints in a murder case? Not taking a complaint from an eye witness is just plain stupid!
This article shows who the real criminals are in the Gilmer County Courthouse and that each one of us should be concerned that we would be the next ones murdered—and nothing would be done about it. It appears by the veracity of this article alone that none of us are safe in Gilmer County and that murder and rape are accepted ways of every day life here.
As a citizen, I feel we need to ban together to change this current situation we are in of having no local law enforcement.
It is a pathetic situation when a blatant murder can take place with several witnesses and the police refuse to take complaints like we were living in communist Russia! But if you are black football player you can commit rape after rape of young unsuspecting co-eds and honor students like Amanda Smith and you will be protected.
It is time for a change, and as citizens we need to rise to the occasion and make that change.
We also need to ban together to see that something is done. Does anyone have the number to the FBI in Clarksburg?
I think it is time we file a complaint against Mike Wheeler – Deputy, Larry Gerwig Sheriff, and Gerald B Hough for actively covering up another murder in the same fashion the murder of Fred Hill was covered up. Enough is enough!

Can someone please explain to me why the Sheriff Office and the Gilmer County Prosecutor Gerry Hough spent so much time and energy NOT investigating this murder case?
People that know Deputy Wheeler said, that his medical excuse is not valid, and that he has no injury – they have seen him. It was also said that his getting in a fight an hurting his gun arm is about as big a tall tale told around here for awhile.
Obviously Deputy Wheeler did nothing to investigate this murder. Could it be that Hough did take a pay off from the ex-wife of Willard Cottrill?
Have Gerwig and Hough finally been caught in a crime they can’t talk their way out of?
Nobody will touch handling the estate because all the money was already stolen out of the account, so there is no money left for local attorneys to pad their fee’s with.
I also heard some man from Weston had illegally taken possession of the property without a deed.
???? How can you take possession of a piece of property without a deed? It appears that local law enforcement has assisted in carrying out a crime for money and property. It is evident that there was a pay off at a high level, for what other possibility could have the same end result?

Gilmer County is a model for devious ways used to cheat citizens with will and estate deals. If citizens were not fearful to talk and they would expose examples of what has happened to them the truth would be shocking. From what I am a hearing over the local grape-vine the investigators involved in uncovering facts and evidence in this Willard Cottrill MURDER also found and eye witness to the FRED HILL murder during their investigations while conducting many interviews with friends and relatives of Willards.
Can someone post the phone number to the nearest FBI office?
For, if I was to tell what I know the whole town would be shocked as to WHO actually killed Fred Hill.
But, if that matter is revealed, then all the questions of this Willard Cottrill murder will be answered, and then, fall right into place. That is all I can say.
I believe there are as many as ten people who know who actually killed Fred Hill for there was someone there watching it all, and that person told his closest of kin.

Gilmer commission need to listen to someone else for advice. They should think about all the mishaps in law enforcement dealing with crimes, murder, rapes, as well as wrong doings in clerk’s office under beverly marks. It has been said that Gerry Hough after causing extensive damage and pain here in Gilmer County is willing to serve up anybody that supports hime now – and blame them, if this murder situation all goes south and looks like it might.
Hough has set his sights on a career as a prosecutor in Lewis County and that is why his whole family is over there and settled into that area. Hough has worn out his welcome in Gilmer County and he knows it.

It was found out yesterday by members of the Council of Concerned Citizens that the magistrate does not make a move without walking into Gerry Hough’s office, and also the State Police had to call Hough to know what to say or what procedure to follow. Several conversations were recorded.
After discussing this with Law Enforcement experts who at one time had to notify the FBI about the wrongdoing of the Butchers, in a situation where the FBI had take some action involving death threats against a journalist—that involved Sheriff Metz, and yes even Gerald B Hough—- It was decided this area has become so corrupt as to not be tolerated any longer, based on the actions of public officials yesterday.
WHO present that are readers of the GFP would be willing to sign a 667 petition for removal from office of Gerald B Hough and Sheriff Gerwig who tried to use the old Glenville excuse of, “ I wasn’t here then!“ Pathetic, he was there during the murder of Willard Cottrill he was Chief Deputy, but claims,“ I wasn’t here then..“ which give experts the idea he is fully involved in aiding the people that did KILL Willard Cottril by overdose of drugs.
This petition would also ask for the removal of Deputy Wheeler who already has a checkered past in law enforcement from his days in Lewis County.
We need to hire a professional to create the perfect petition and then get the needed signatures, and this will help us get more press exposing the corruption that has gone on for too long.

Further, the, “ I wasn’t there then” excuse is a common “come back” among courthouse workers to the point where I would be willing to bet that phrase is stated several times a day to people that have been wronged.

From all the whining and complaining about the county commission and the school board I expected to see a long list of Gilmer Co people filing to run for office. Apparently it is more fun to set back and make comments on GFP about how terrible things are than to setup and try to make a change. It kinda makes one wonder if things are as bad in ole Gilmer Co as some would like to make you believe.
You cannot change any situation by maintaining the status quo. Consequently, nothing is going to change in Gilmer County over the next 2 years because no one new is stepping up to try except for Ms Hurley. I guess it is easier to hide behind a fake name and make claims about how bad it is than to stand up and be a responsible citizen and run for office.

Let me just mention one thing about elections in Gilmer County. There has not been one honest election in Gilmer County in decades. Most all the elections are rigged. But the election that got the clerk elected as puppet clerk to the commission was at a FELONY CRIMINAL level rigged in which both her and the former clerk Marks were charged with misdemeanors.
A very small group in the county who has so much financial and political interest that they were able to get their former family baby sitter Natalie Tennant now secretary of state to come in and smooth things over and put the cabash on any federal investigations involving the illegal exchange of the recording modules, which was a federal felony complaint that got quashed by political connections.
Some Gilmer County officials should have gone to prison for that particular election debacle.
The latest criminal infraction was when Sheriff Metz who is an illiterate – that never graduated from high school – was allowed to be on the ballot and run for election even when his FAKE High School Diploma from ADDISON HIGH SCHOOL in North Hollywood was proved to be a FAKE.
I firmly believe there is not ONE honest person even working in the courthouse. People in this town are threatened with arrest for situations that are not even close to breaking the law.
AND YOU want to criticize people for not wanting to stand up to people who are no better than the Nazi’s from Germany allowing RAPE and MURDER to go un-investigated and unpunished.
Recently and eye witness to the FRED HILL MURDER was scooped up from his home and surrounded by Sheriffs deputies in the magistrate court, arrested and now hidden far far away so no further investigators can talk to him or his family members without him having to pay for it.
These people you speak of are nothing but the worst of the worst criminals in Central WV and you want to criticize people for not wanting to stand up to them?

Most everyone in Central West Virginia have found out that Gerald B Hough the Gilmer County Prosecutor is nothing but a low life dishonest son of a bitch and was recently CAUGHT in a lie when Sally Bozeat wrote a letter to the Supreme Commander of the SS describing how she first met and spoke with Gerald B Hough, here is an excerpt from that letter…
“I have never lived anywhere but NY except for a short period in OHIO. I will address one issue, just in case you are at all interested in the truth.”
“My daughter, Venita and I were in the County Clerk’s office trying to locate documents related to Willard’s land holdings based on some information that he gave us. At that time, I saw a man in the Clerk’s office wearing dress clothes and a tie. I asked him if he happened to be an attorney. He said that he was and that he was also a part-time prosecutor. I then asked his name, and after he told me, I asked if he did probate work, to which he replied in the affirmative. I believe I mentioned to him that we might contact him in the future. I told Venita that it seemed like an omen that we met him that way due to his name being pronounced as Huff.”
“None of us ever spoke to him again until after Willard’s death, at which time he referred the executor to the Butcher firm since he was then a full-time DA.”
This statement in a letter to leader of the Secret Seven Coalition directly contradicts Gerry Houghs statement which we have on tape in which he denies EVER talking to Sally Bozeat the mastermind behind the mastermind of the MURDER of Willard Cottrill.

Obviously the fight against “global warming ” has been successful as Bessie Arthur’s thermometer registered -19 degrees Fahrenheit the other morning. It was so cold the oil haulers could not get the oil to flow into the trucks. Water lines froze and chariots really didn’t want to start. The last time it was this cold locally was January 1978. The global warming/climate change hoaxers have been maintaining a low profile as it is obvious that the taxes, fees and restrictions they have demanded & expropriated had nothing to do with the weather.

An outfit called Siltstone purchased the old Union Trust & Deposit bank building at the corner of 7th & Market in Parkersburg for $475,000. According to Sunday’s Parkersburg News the company came here to purchase mineral rights obviously before the big drilling boom hits locally in the Marcellus, Utica and other formations. According he the Secretary of State’s website the firm nor its parent company is authorized to do business in West Virginia. The purchase has caused a lot of stir and not just locally. No one locally had ever heard of Siltstone before.
Back in September there was a fire at the Blue Racer fractionation plant at Natrium on the Wetzel/Marshall County line which caused some local gas to be shut in because more gas had to be sent to the Hastings fractionation plant. Mother Hope announced that the plant has reopened. The plant removes the ethane, propane, butanes, pentanes and drip gas from the gas stream. Presently the ethane goes to the Gulf Coast or to Canada to a cracker as has been proposed down on the Washington Bottom.
Presently there is a glut of ethane and no where to send it and it is priced at 23 cents/gallon or $3.45/MMBTU or dekatherm. Some suggest that ethane be used as a fuel for compressors as the “federal rules” only allow so much in the interstate gas stream.
Speaking of federal rules the U. S. State Department found that the proposed Keystone oil pipeline would have no significant environmental impact. Canada has made it clear that if the Big Eared One still says no the oil with go to China and, of course, refineries there, etc. do not have environmental guidelines.
Calhoun County passed their excess levy Saturday with the Grantsville area being for it and the West Fork voting against it.
The local weather did warm up some, school resumed and snow melted and there was rain. Now there will be deep mud, etc.
In Pennsylvania the state supremes ruled that the new oil and gas law there was not proper and local communities do, in fact, have input into proposed drilling, etc.
When Shell purchased the old South Penn/Pennzoil leases they indicated that they did not to operate in West Virginia and HG Resources, Jared Hall, et al., acquired the properties. Now, it is understood that Royal Dutch Shell is very active in the Marcellus &Utica fields and is a major buyer of the produced fluids.
Antero has a new well that started out at 210 bbl./hour but settled down at 180 bbl./hour. That calculates out at 4320 bbl./day and if it is Appalachian light sweet that amounts to $332,078.40/day for the liquids, not counting the gas. Some oil and gas leases state that the mineral owners will not share in this income.
Some of the wise ones have said that we need more Mexicans in the nation as “there are jobs Americans won’t do”. It is obvious that as long as generous permanent welfare benefits are handed out a significant percentage of the population has no intention of working. The former governor of Mississippi, a state that has a big welfare group noted that folks in that state would not work in chicken processing plants. All this is absurd. Locally there is a problem finding men who have CDLs with our without experience. Major reforms and politicians with backbones are desperately needed.
The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude (tier one) is $95.49 with drip fetching $76.87, Marcellus & Utica light $85.46 and medium $95.49/bbl. It was noted that the oil haulers want to get producers to agree to contracts on the hauling of oil.
