I would like to thank Dave Ramezan for taping these meetings so everyone can review, otherwise if we depended on the local newspaper we would get highly inaccurate accounts of these meetings.

Obviously the publisher/editor of the Glenville Democrat and Pathfinder, Dave Corcoran has committed many ethical breaches in the past, along with false reporting of facts backed up by his own reporter Dendra Miller. She admitted that she made an error when she said the rapes at Glenville State College were under investigation, for there is no investigation!

 Miller also admitted that Dave Corcoran changed her article to say Dave Ramezan was NOT acting in capacity as the editor publisher of the Gilmer Free Press, a media source that represents the people with the truth.  Reporting the truth has been a problem for the local paper in Gilmer County since the 1960’s.

If these meetings were not documented by digital video, the public would have no way of knowing the truth.

Fast forward this video record to 1:17:06 to see that Dave Ramezan passes out to the commission the document that has the inaccurate reporting clearly marked in numbers so that each commissioner can see each point reported in the local paper that was highly inaccurate.

Commission President Kennedy obviously did not want to comment because he is part of the ruse, and attempt to keep the truth and the awful nightmares about Glenville, West Virginia from ever reaching the public, especially when it comes to the subject of MURDER and RAPE.

I speak for many Citizens when I ask about the Willard Cottrill estate, for there are no mentions of this in the meeting, the notes just says estates were settled, and then the matter was voted on and approved with no specific mention of any estate.

How could the COTTRILL estate be settled when personal items and property were allowed to be removed from Willard Cottrill’s home with Gilmer County Sheriff escort before the estate was settled or probated?

Then there is the fact Willard Cottrill was killed by a lethal concoction of drugs administered by Freda and Venita Cottrill!!

The Supreme Court reached a decision of 4 to 1 October 18^th to allow Ruth Mitchell to live on the estate, and the civil matter and civil action is not only over, but won by the persons who had their civil rights violated by Sgt Yost of the West Virginia State Police as well as Deputies Wheeler and Huffman acting on behalf of those that LOST in last Friday’s Supreme Court decision.

The Gilmer County Sheriffs office under the leadership of Larry Gerwig allows rape after rape at Glenville State College and still nothing is done and the citizens of Gilmer County are not safe.

One of the most corrupt Gilmer County Sheriff deputies to ever come round here, that is for sure. Investigators into the death of Willard Cottrill feel both Mike Wheeler and Ben Huffman aided in the murder of Willard Cottrill.

Here is ALAN and MARK Cottrill (photo below) who allegedly stole guns and personal items out of the house with the assistance of the Gilmer County Sheriffs office in Glenville. 

Estates are supposed to be settled and probated before personal property is taken, but with the help of Melvin Cottrill, before Willard Cottrill was even cold, his $40,000.00 truck was taken, his lock box with cash money was stolen with some of Ruth Mitchell’s money in it. Two weeks before Willard Cottrill was murdered, his bank account was cleaned out Crooked County style by Mike Murphy!!! Only in Gilmer County can you count on elected public officials as well as law enforcement to actually be parties to theft and murder.

Allen and Mark Cottrill, men to be feared from a well known Biker gang! They are rolling up some big joints for the West Virginia Council of Concerned Citizens …nah, they are not gonna share any of that good dope with us troops in the field, or any of their HOT BIKER CHICKS in New York where they had a huge BIKER PARTY to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the death of Willard Cottrill in which they disliked Judge Alsops decision so much they sold 42 acres for 40,000 to Mr Neal from Weston. The property was worth at least 200,000 that included three dwellings. The estate was not settled and if Jean Butcher the Commission Clerk thinks she is gonna sign a deed over, well then good citizens of Gilmer County will see her in JAIL for it along with Commission President Brian Kennedy. Damn boys next time bring some of that good weed for some of us poor folk stuck back up in these hills and we can only get the weed the Sheriffs office sells from the evidence room …damn!

Supreme Court affirms Gilmer Co. decision

Judge Jack Alsop predicted to endorse the final resolution of the Gilmer County Commission regarding the final settlement of the Cottrill Estate very soon in August of 2016

CHARLESTON – Because the intentions in his will were clear enough, the state Supreme Court has ruled a Gilmer County woman may continue to reside in the home she shared with her former companion.

In a 4-1 decision, the court affirmed the ruling Gilmer Circuit Judge Jack Alsop made in August 2012 granting summary judgment to Ruth Mitchell in a suit to quiet title brought by the estate and heirs of Willard Cottrill.

In a memorandum opinion issued Oct. 18, two days shy of the third anniversary of Cottrill, 73, dying suddenly and under suspicious circumstances, the court said the effort by the estate’s executor, Michael Murphy, Cottrill’s son-in-law, and the heirs to eject Mitchell from the modular home she shared with Cottrill on his 42-acre property in Linn is “wholly inconsistent,” with his last will and testament.

Memorandum opinions are issued by the court in cases that present no new issues of law and would not be aided by oral argument. Chief Justice Brent Benjamin cast the dissenting vote.

According to court records, Cottrill’s will was admitted into probate on Nov. 5, 2010. In it, he directed that a residence be provided for Mitchell “for so long as she chooses to reside, with this provision becoming void should she at any time choose or need to live elsewhere.”

Cottrill also specified that Mitchell’s “residency shall not preclude divestiture of the property by my heirs, and is not intended to establish a life tenancy.” Furthermore, he “direct[ed] that income from the rental units on my property be used for taxes and upkeep of the remainder of the property including the unit occupied by Ruth Mitchell, and the parcel referenced in the above provision.”

On June 17, 2011, Murphy, along with his wife, Venita, and her brothers Mark and Alan Cottrill, residents of Syracuse, N.Y., filed suit seeking an order to compel Mitchell to “vacate the premises.”

However, on Aug. 21, 2012, the eve of a trial date in the case, Alsop granted Mitchell’s motion for summary judgment recognizing, as Cottrill specified in his will, she had a right to reside on the property so long as she desired.

In affirming Alsop’s decision, the court clarified that Mitchell’s residence is no way construed to be a life estate or tenancy. Regardless, ordering her out of the dwelling she’s called home for the last decade would go against Cottrill’s express wishes.

“The relief [the estate and the heirs] sought beyond clear title – this is, ejectment – is wholly inconsistent with [Cottrill’s] directive that [Mitchell] be provided a residence,” the court said.

“Inasmuch as the circuit court was called upon to construe Mr. Cottrill’s will in this action to quiet title, it appropriately followed the tenant of this Court: ‘The cardinal principle in construing a will is to ascertain the intent of the testator as expressed in the wills and codicils, giving consideration to the surrounding circumstances.’”

The estate, and the heirs were represented by Staci N. Criswell with Dinsmore and Shohl. Mitchell was defended by Gassaway attorney Dan Grindo.

GSC student charged with kidnapping, sex assault

A Virginia man is accused of attempting to rape a Glenville State College co-ed in her dorm room during final examinations last week.

Campus police on Thursday, Dec. 13 arrested, and charged Rodney Lionel Smith,Jr. for attempting to sexually assault a fellow GSC student. The charges stem from an incident the day before when police say Smith, 19, of Manassas, Va., invited himself in the dorm room of Traci Kelly, and Kayla Jarvis where he then, despite being repeatedly rebuffed, attempted to have sex with Kelly.

 

According to the criminal complaint filed by GSC Public Safety Officer Samuel W. Cutlip,

Smith at an unspecified time on Wednesday, Dec. 12 knocked on Kelly and Jarvis’ dorm room door. The complaint does not specify if they were residing in Pickens or Goodwin halls or Pioneer Village.

 

 Nevertheless, at the time, Kelly and Jarvis were “getting ready for finals and watching movies.” When Smith said he wanted to watch movies with them, Kelly said it was okay to let him come in.

 

According to the complaint, Smith shortly thereafter put his arm around Kelly, and asked her if she had a boyfriend. Despite Kelly telling him she did, and was “very happy,” Smith then asked her if she wanted to have sex.

Though she told him no, Smith began touching Kelly’s breast. At that point, the complaint says Jarvis determined things “were getting out of hand, and went to get help.”

Sometime after Jarvis left, Kelly alleges Smith asked her to perform oral sex on him. After telling him no, and moving into the shower, the complaint states Smith “pinned her against the wall.”

In the course of pinning her against the wall, Smith unzipped his pants, and exposed his penis. After breaking free from his grasp, Kelly says Smith “got between her and the door so she couldn’t leave.”

Next, Smith began pulling Kelly’s pants while she “went to the closet to get her clothes.” Just as Smith was about to force himself on Kelly, the complaint says Jarvis “came in the room with some help.”

The complaint is unclear who arrived back in the dorm room with Jarvis to help Kelly thwart Smith’s attack. Nevertheless, it resulted in him “leaving the room.”

Following his arrest, records show Smith was charged in Gilmer Magistrate Court on one count each of kidnapping, and attempted sexual assault in the second degree. After he was taken to the Central Regional Jail in Sutton, Smith was released on $50,000 bond.

The case was assigned to Magistrate Carol Wolfe, and believe you me WOLFE has no intention of doing her job, or moving the case forward, she has every intention of breaking every rule there is to see this man gets another chance at WHITE PUSSY for FREE at GSC!

Gerald B Hough as prosecutor of Gilmer County has brought false cases against journalists, like award winning major market California Broadcaster Jim West aka Dan Bingman by declaring old used rusted farm equipment that sat on their farm for 25 years as brand new and stolen. Since then Judge Richard Facemire and Hough have teamed up to attack and bring to court on false civil actions Dave Ramezan of the GFP and Lawrence Smith a journalist from Charleston.

CHARLESTON – Records show very early in his legal career, Gerry Hough was scolded by the Lawyer Disciplinary Board for violating federal law when he improperly accessed a Glenville State College student’s academic records in the course of representing her accused attacker in a sexual assault case.

The Board on Dec. 9, 2000, filed a one-count statement of charges against Hough for committing three violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct when he asked for, and received, a copy of Anita Phillips-Wiseman’s transcripts on Nov. 13, 1998. At the time, Hough was representing Wilkie Perez, a GSC student and quarterback of the football team, on charges he raped Phillips-Wiseman.

In the statement, which acts as an indictment for disciplinary purposes, the Board stated that Hough was also a member of the GSC faculty at the time he was representing Perez. Hough, the statement alleged, used his position on the faculty to mislead the GSC Registrar’s Office into getting a copy of Phillips-Wiseman’s transcripts for the sole purpose of aiding in Perez’s defense.

Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, strict limits are placed on disclosure of a student’s academic records, and who has access to them. Among those who are permitted access to a college student’s records, including his or her transcripts, is the student’s advisor.

Eventually, the Board on Aug. 4, 2004, opted to dismiss the charge, and “caution” Hough, who by this time had become Gilmer County’s prosecutor, for his conduct, and fine him $400. The reason for the Board’s decision was due to the fact that at the time of the incident, Hough had been a member of the state Bar for only a month, and, upon learning of his actions, Thomas Powell, GSC’s then-president, reprimanded Hough, and denied him a pay raise given to other GSC faculty and staff.

As part of the agreement to dismiss the charges, Hough, despite his initial denial, had to admit to them, and express remorse for his actions.

Records show the sexual assault charges against Perez were dismissed.

These charges being dismissed issue set a trend as far back as 15 years ago, and in all of the 15 years there has NOT BEEN ONE RAPE CONVICTION — BUT YET COUNTLESS RAPES are now history and it has all been covered up by an irresponsible school which should pay the price, and be held accountable along with an unlawful Gilmer County Sheriff who should also be held accountable, for not even investigating the rapes which is beyond pathetic.

The investigative panel of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board on July 7 closed Marlea Cottrill’s ethics complaint against F. John Oshoway. Though the panel determined he committed no violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct, Charles J. Kaiser, Jr., the panel’s chairman, said Oshoway was wrong to charge Cottrill for work he performed after she dismissed him. Along with an order to repay Cottrill $262.50 within the next 60 days, the panel instructed Oshoway, 61 and a sole practitioner in Granstville, to “take steps to improve his office polices and procedures,” with a warning that “any similar conduct in the future will result in sanction.” In her complaint filed April 12, 2012, Cottrill, 52 and a Jordan, N.Y., resident, alleged after hiring him “in a panic,” Oshoway did little, if any work, to represent her interests in a suit to quiet title her brother-in-law, Michael Murphy as executor to the estate of her father, Willard, filed in Gilmer Circuit Court against Ruth Mitchell, Willard’s live-in companion. Since he did not properly create a life estate for Mitchell in his will, the suit sought to have her evicted from the home she shared with Willard prior to his death on Oct. 20, 2010. Despite not living on the property in Linn, and an heir to the estate, the suit named Cottrill as a co-defendant. From the time she hired him in August 2011 until she discharged him seven months later, Cottrill said Oshoway failed to communicate with her about not only the status of the suit but also its implications. In her complaint, Cottrill went so far as to accuse Oshoway of engaging in “legal tomfoolery” for the lack of work he did after paying him a retainer of $2,000. Cottrill said she kept abreast of the case via Mitchell, who forwarded her pleadings filed in case she received from her attorney, Dan Grindo. I tried to find one of my friends online to talk to and no one was awake aside from a relative of mine, they told me that if i didn’t call someone they were calling campus police. I called Dr. Sawyer and told her and she took me to Stonewall. We left stonewall ER because the doctor basically told me I got what i was asking for by sharing a bed with him and told us that the Sexual Assault Nurse (SANE) would take 2 hours to make it from Clarksburg, so we left and went to UHC. They took pictures and did the exam. In the results it didnt show a lot of physical trauma because I wasn’t quite fighting back having taken very strong sleeping medicine. After that, I stayed at Dr. Sawyers house for about a week. I informed some of my professors what had happened and all of them understood except Teresa Dody. She point blank looked at me and told me I was lying. I quit going to classes and was working with Devan Heater from HOPE. I had filed for a protective order and Gerry told me I did NOT need a lawyer to go in with because “he was my lawyer”. Well I went in with Devan and she was unable to say anything. The end result of that hearing was my being denied, and Matt and his lawyer Garth Beck walking out of the room laughing and high fiving each other. Later on we went in front of CAROL WOLFE for some sort of hearing. Gerry called me to the stand and Carol Wolfe asked me to go into detail including, “What do you mean you hurt” when I said I was very sore upon waking up. All of this with Matt not even 10 feet in front of me. The responding state police officer that showed up at the hospital and took Matt’s written and verbal confession, was Magically “on vacation and not served with his subpoena” for this hearing!”

Salwa Amin Gets BOOKED February 11 th for Felony Drug Charges and is currently being held in Central Regional Jail in Braxton County!  Good old CRJ!!

Salwa Amin from MTV’s hit show, Buckwild, was booked into the Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods, WV early today February 11th on felony drug charges according to Central West Virginia Secret Seven sources. Apparently, Salwa was in the possession of drugs and had intent to sell those drugs, which is of course a felony in the state of West Virginia, unless of course you know IKE MORRIS or you are in the Church of Ike and live in Crooked County down by the Crooked River, and then you can always walk on the drug charges like Doug Cottrill and Doug Morris son of the Lord of the Church of IKE!!

The Nicholas County Magistrate  Court officials told Rina McCoy of Cosmos Communicator and the Secret Seven Coalition that Salwa Amin from the MTV show BUCK WILD will post $200,000 bond for two counts of drug possession with intent to deliver. One count for oxycodone, the other for HEROIN!!

According to a criminal complaint, Salwa was arrested with two other people in a shed outside of a home in Nicholas County.

Shawn Booker and Jason Jones were also found in the shed at the time of the arrest.

A criminal informant that we found out was previously listed on the CalPatty Press SNITCH LIST told officers with the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force that a shipment of drugs would be delivered to Summersville,WV on Feb. 10.

This person was listed in the top ten on the snitch list for Nicholas, Webster Springs and Braxton County for number of complaints to the SS for snitching!

Drug Task Force members, some of which were of the same gang that busted Glenville State College gifts officer Bob Henry Baber’s home for drugs, were the officers responsible for gathering the information and making the arrest of the Buckwild MTV large breasted Wild Sensation Salwa! Bob Baber from GSC also ran for governor of WV. Bob was also the mayor of Richwood, along that same time he was being investigated for drug dealing.

The Task Force observed a car with a Michigan license plate arriving at the home.  The criminal informant from the SS Snitch list told police that a vehicle with Michigan plates would be delivering drugs to the home.

After witnessing several people enter and leave the home, police executed a search warrant on the home.

Amin, Jones and Booker were found in a shed outside of the home.

Oxycodone was found in Amin’s Salwas purse and on one of the latest episodes was heard to say she needed a pain pill.

 Inside of the shed being staked out local cops found three packages of heroin.  According to Jones, Amin and Booker transported the drugs to the home.

Don’t be fooled, Gilmer County had no more say in the takeover of its schools than it does in bringing back its 911 center. Having a say would mean the public had a voice that was heard with consideration given to it.  That does not happen in Gilmer County , West Virginia.  Never!

Gilmer Schools Coalition needs your support! State appointed Superintendent Ron Blankenship will not answer any questions or cooperate with the local press about informing the county and school district about progress involving relieving ourselves from the forced takeover by the state, and the public wants to know! Matters have only become worse since the first week of June 2011. 

There are three basic reasons for school intervention.  Poor educational stats, all Gilmer County schools made AYP and a system gets six months probation to submit a plan to fix the problem before that happens.  Failing financially, Gilmer County was in the black and again the system gets a six month period to submit a plan to correct that.  No, Gilmer County got what was behind door number three… a takeover based on an emergency affecting the health and safety of the students.  The only instance demanding immediate takeover of a school system. 

But, if that was the case, WHY IS EVERY GILMER COUNTY CHILD STILL SITTING IN THE SAME SCHOOL BUILDING THEY WERE IN OVER TWO YEARS AGO WHEN THE STATE TOOK OVER THEIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS? What was the emergency?

The only emergency was political and the immediate protection of Principal Butcher’s job and who you gonna’ call?

The only person left who would do that with pleasure, retired, released in the past as Gilmer County Superintendent  Ron Blankenship – And with a political axe to grind since Gilmer failed to put him in the House of Delegates.

For some reason Blankenship feels that a totalitarian situation does exist, and that even in America we have no right to information, and that since he is connected to the big crooks in Charleston, that he can just do and say what ever the fuck he wants to. Which, indeed, makes these meetings obsolete, and they serve no purpose other than to say, you can’t get any answers to any of your questions, and these school board members feel they have no one to answer to.

Ron Blankenship is the very man who will do what he’s told for a dollar sign and give jobs to those who donated to his political campaign with no thought to their qualifications or the good of Gilmer County students and their families. The man under strict orders to protect Principal Nasia Butcher at all cost, answers no questions and whose only response to drugs, bullying or any other problem in the only problem school Gilmer County has is “we expel them every semester in Calhoun County .”

The common citizen has no say in Gilmer County and every elected official you put in office save one  says not one word in your defense.  It is absolutely no different than what will be done with your one million dollar debt for a 911 center you don’t own. Keep putting them in office people …oh yeah that’s really working!
